I’m Jason Caucutt and my blogging focus is history, politics, and popular culture. I studied History at University of Alaska–Fairbanks and University of South Africa (UNISA) and currently live in Seattle paying the rent working for University of Washington. I am constantly seeking new experiences–both far-flung and near–to explore local history, politics and other oddities! A visit to a forgotten, moss-covered historical marker followed by some day-drinking at a local dive bar would be my perfect afternoon. I’m a rare Puget Sound denizen who is hopelessly ambivalent about hiking and REI. I’m a member of the Pacific NW Historians Guild, Historic Seattle, and a semi-closeted fan of both Battlestar Galactica and The Young & the Restless….
